SHADOWSELF is a Indie Post-Grunge Rock Band formed in Tampa, FL in 2009. The lineup consists of lead singer and guitarist Kidd Vicious, bass guitarist J Hendrix, and drummer L Hendrix.
In 2009 Kidd Vicious and L Hendrix were in a hard rock band ZEROPOINT. At the time, Kidd Vicious was just singing vocals and L Hendrix was on the bass guitar. After the bands split, Kidd Vicious and L Hendrix decided to keep working on music. L Hendrix took over on the drums and Kidd Vicious picked up the guitar to begin the formation of SHADOWSELF. After several practices they asked J Hendrix, brother of L Hendrix, to help out with some bass.
The songs created by SHADOWSELF are reminiscent of the 90's grunge scene (Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam) while maintaining an image current in today's market. They also shine with their live shows, proving that there is little "studio magic" hiding behind their solid live performances.
SHADOWSELF's premier 14 songs demonstrate a wide range of emotions. Songs like "Raincheck" and "Locked On" discuss the not-so typical heartbreak we all go through; while songs like "Judgment Day" or "Beg" asks one to take a deeper look within. "Nexus" SHOUTS a message of unbreakable commitment to friendship, while "High" is about...
Each song is its own story... and you may even find different interpretations; adding depth in today's world of music.
