"Sea Of Tranquility review"

“A few songs tend to hold up to repeat listens (“On the Surface,” “Just Not Enough”) Shadows of Light could wind up becoming huge. " - SeaOfTranquility.org

"Strutter Zine review"

Melodic Metal with a big American DISTURBED type of approach here and there is what to expect from the Nashville based band SHADOWS OF LIGHT. ‘Let there be light’ is their debut CD and their typical American type of Metal, which is a mostly groovy very heavy metal guitar riff based slower tempo sound features some good strong melodies in songs like “Just not enough”, “In the beginning” (very strong melodic chorus) and the ballad “On the surface”. Clearly different than the European metalsound, still fans of DISTURBED will like this a lot.

"Belgium's Metal to Infinity"

Exerpt from review-
"Ready to Rock, loaded with courage and a lot of good inspirations, these four guys' strength led already to the making of a debut album which was entitled " Let There Be Light". An album fully arrangement, produced and all that stuff by themselves. During days of the recordings, bassist John left to be replaced by newcomer Craig Alspaugh. One step at the time, the album "Let There Be Light" took form and the end of hard labour was in sight. Seven songs were finished to unleash to attack as many ears as possible. Shadows Of Light style of Metal is powerfull, kinda melodic and groovy to the bone. It differs from the usual US Metal kinda bands like Cage, Seven Witches, Distant Thunder, Attacker, Zandelle,...due to the groovy parts and no high pitched vocals.

SOL's vocalist is strong and very stable, he has power and most important to me...his way of singing is very original. No reason to compare with some other, he created an his own style and that is what fascinated me a lot. Guitars are heavy load during the riffs but from time to time melodic parts will ewplodes your speakers. Drum parts or bass lines, no problem at all...there is an excellent team work remarkable. Fans of Progressive Metal music gonna like this album too i guess. It's not overloaded with progressive parts, but listening very close leads you in that direction. The songs i like the most are: "Just Not Enough", "In The Beginning", "In Store For Me" and the fantastic power ballad "On the Surface".

Yeah, very good album to me! It differs in many ways from the usual US Metal scene but more than 30 minutes of pleasure was on my sight for sure. More than worth to check it out, don't hesitate give it a shot. MY POINTS: 87 / 100"

"POWER PLAY RECORDS"

The album begins with "Hurt by you" a catchy and easy to remember track which is really good to open an album and
of course especially this from Shadows of Light. Generally their compositions are well worked with interesting ideas
and very good song structure. Also remarkable is the production and the sound of this CD which is really clear and in
the same time heavy with some aggressive moments. Last but not least, Shadows of Light bring a very good and
definitely above average album in the underground rock scene and i am sure that a lot of you will adore the stuff from
them. - http://www.powerplayrecords.com/
