Shag is a band like you've never heard before nor will you forget! British vocal powerhouse and guitarist Laurence Mckenna fronts the band, with an insane vocal range that can flatter any melody. Laurence also plays many solo gigs with a wide variety of covers. Musical mates Mike Miggins, (Lead Guitar-Vocals), Mike Brown (Bass Guitar) and Mark Rogers (Drums), complete the feel good vibes that will drive you to the dance floor. Three original CD's have been released and another is underway. Their CD's are a pop-rock recipe of sophisticated yet mad catchy hooks that are at once classic and utterly of the moment. Blurring inspirations of U.K. spun rock, pop and punk, they have developed their own unique style. It is head music for your feet! Shag and Laurence McKenna solo has performed at such venues as RFK Stadium for D.C. United, The State Theater, 9:30 Club,The Black Cat, Warner Theater, and Nissan Pavilion (VIP shows al summer). SHAG and Laurence McKenna have had the pleasure of playing at Jackson Brown, Depeche Mode, Martina McBride, and even Toby Keith & Trace Adkins concerts! They have created a large following, especially in the Washington D.C. area. So to all you sensation seekers...come out and shake your bum!
