Bio
Shaggy Rogers, is an emcee outta Pittsburgh who hails from Philly. With Old School Hip Hop influincing every step of the way, I practiced my flow, tone, and vibe everyday for several years until it was perfected. My content came to me over time through real life experiences, journeys, epiphanies, and realizations.
I am currently working on my debut mixtape "Paramount" which is set to drop September 23. I'm traveling to several homesteads througout West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, and Toronto to promote the release.
I started writing at 13 and joined a rap group as "Skittles." Moved to Hershey at 17, joined another rap group as "Philly Rob" and began freestyling everyday. But it wasn't until 2010 when I moved to Pittsburgh where I started to record and take music seriously as an artist. It is here where I have created my name and image.
My main influence has to be my Dad, he's been my music teacher and life coach for as long as I can remember. Some others include: Eminem, Bob Marley, MF DOOM, Mos Def, Rakim, The Beatles, Big L, Biggie, Tupac, and Jimmi Hendrix.
