This showcasing event is part of NewMusicWest’s 5-day music festival and conference held Nov 10th to Nov 14th 2004.

Recently returning from South East Asia for promotion of her charting single “Broken Promises (The Remix) Feat. Selling out of The Virgin Mega Store twice in its first week of release, Shairah’s R&B debut album entitled, ‘Search For Something Real…’ has been long anticipated. From the sultry, seductive ballads to the positive, upbeat radio singles, Shairah’s vocal and producing talent shines through as an illustrious accomplishment.

Shairah’s hot new singles are already climbing up the charts. The sultry ballad ‘Who Would’ve Known’ has already climbed to #55 on the Reflex World Top Urban 100. Shairah’s previous single ‘Broken Promises (The Remix) Feat. Motoe’ has charted in South East Asia as #7 on their HOT 30. Her latest single ‘Just Vibe’ is already being spun across Canada and parts of Europe.

Shairah will be granting interviews and photographs after her performance. You can also catch her performances in Toronto and New York Nov 21st through till Dec 7th.

Local independent talent to perform live

Due to the tragic Earthquake and Tsunami aftermath, Malaysia is among the South-East Asian countries in need of financial assistance to recreate all that was destroyed.

Canadian R&B/HipHop/Soul Artist SHAIRAH (pronounce Shy-ee-rah) is part Malaysian. Summer 2004, SHAIRAH was in Malaysia performing, promoting and attending media appearances for her charting single off current album, “Search For Something Real…” Many of the locations she toured, a mere few months ago, are simply no more.

“It pains me to think of all the destruction which has recently occurred during such a happy season. I’ve been to Malaysia several times. It is my mother’s place of childhood.
