Bio

There are very few instances where a band’s name can sum up their music, message, and personality. However, Cleveland, Ohio’s Shake It! have incorporated all of these elements into a captivating, exclamatory statement. With a toe-tapping fun pop rock sound, vocals that grab a listener’s attention, and driving guitars, Shake It! are set to make any listener move and groove in their seats or on their feet. Their new album, Intermission, is the culmination of the members’ various musical influences, ranging from punk to swing seamlessly.

Originally the project of Will Armstrong (lead guitar/vox), Steve Pisk (drums/vox), and Ricky Zaborowski (rhythm guitar/vox), creativity really picked up for the group with the addition of Chris Manocchio (bass/vox) and the band’s main vocalist, Jaime Puckett (vox/piano). The band had a mission from the beginning: always try to keep things different. This is the attitude they took with them as they began the tracking of Intermission, and is the same motto they have for their live shows.

Engineered by Brian Patrick at Jungle Studios, Intermission is Shake It’s calling card into the music landscape. The group kept an open mind while in the studio, and many of the final recordings were the product of spontaneity by trained musicians. In It’s About Time That We Stepped Outta Line, the whole group even went into the vocal booth to simulate a party-vibe: a vibe that holds close with the group’s fun and infectious songs. A lot of time in the studio was spent especially on Puckett’s vocals, crafting them to be perfect and make the lyrics memorable. The buzz is already starting to grow around Shake It! and their debut album, Intermission. Shake It! has the diversity in music and confidence to get themselves notoriety above other bands in an ever-growing music scene.
