Bio
The Shakers play a great variety of styles and tunes, but it all comes together with the soul, sound, and feel of the blues. The band can jump from a Big Joe Turner standard to a Jerry Lee Lewis rocker to a reverb drenched surf tune at the turn of a dime, injecting each number with a solid infusion of blues vibe and spirit.
Featuring two distinct and solid lead vocalists with band harmonies, a keyboard player who is equally adept at blistering boogie woogie piano and soulful Hammond organ stylings, a swinging and lyrical guitarist, and a rock solid rhythm section, the Shakers are both entertaining and listenable.
In addition to having on tap just about every blues standard imaginable, the band can also dip deep into more obscure blues, swing, and roots rock tunes, and can offer some interesting original material as well.
