Formed in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2008, Shakin’ Bake combines three seasoned and award winning musicians with extensive touring and live performance experience on their resumes which as helped them to create an instant explosion amongst the Midwest country music scene.

"When we started out, we all agreed that we were going to separate ourselves from the
rest by focusing on getting away from the bar scene and placing an emphasis on bigger shows with eyes towards Nashville," says versatile band member Chris Davidson who's contributions to the group include guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, and vocals.

Utilizing familiar country music hotspots like The Neon Armadillo, Shakin’ Bake set their plans in motion and honed the craft of their high-energy live performances showcasing the crisp talent of each individual member of the group. The quality and professionalism that they bring to the stage each time out has earned them opening spots for major country music acts such as Phil Vassar, Joe Nichols, Keith Anderson, Luke Bryan, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Jason Michael Carroll, Pat Green, James Otto, The Lost Trailers, Jimmy Wayne, and others, as well as a solid fan base.

Davidson adds, "Our fans love the experience of our live shows. I sometimes think that although we are playing country music the energy feels more like that of a rock concert."

With the 2009 New Year’s Eve release of their Self-Titled EP Shakin’ Bake has taken the next step in their careers. The 4-Song EP, produced by Dove Award winning Jeff Silvey, in association with the Erv Woolsey Co., has allowed the group to come into their own and find a signature sound.

Of working with Silvey in the studio Allan Miller, the groups lead vocalist says, “Jeff teamed us up with some of the best current talent that Nashville has to offer including guitarist/producer Kenny Greenberg and award winning songwriter Buddy Brock. On top of that he also had us record at the popular Ocean Way Studios giving us up front credit amongst the music industry due to the long list of great artists that have recorded there.”

Lead Guitarist Hubie Ashcraft adds, "Jeff's musical and production knowledge helped to propel these songs to the next level, but he also understood where we want our music to go and did a fantastic job of getting us there."

Silvey was also instrumental in Shakin’ Bake cutting their current single “The Underdog,” as Miller explains, “This was a song that we almost didn’t cut, but Jeff talked about the production he heard for it and asked us to take a second listen to it.”

“The Underdog,” which has already charted on the Mediabase Top 200, is a classic story song that brings forth a tale that is relatable to listeners of any age and as the band looks back at their decision to cut the song rather than let it go to the wayside Miller states, “This very well could be a signature song for the Shakin' Bake era.”

“We can all relate to the Jimmy and Bobby characters portrayed in the song in some fashion in that we all have obstacles to overcome at one point or another when we have felt that the odds were stacked against us giving “The Underdog” a very universal message,” explains Ashcraft.

In the spring of 2010 Shakin’ Bake signed with Paul Easton’s Squire Management Group as they continue to strive towards achieving their goals.
