This is a simple but cool concept from a Brazilian musician who goes by the name Shaky Knees. He’s recorded 10 original tracks, half in NYC and half in Toronto, and divided them to create two five song “video EP’s” titled The NYC Sessions and The Toronto Sessions.
If you’re going to keep people’s attention, you’ve gotta offer them a little something. Understanding just how important visuals are, especially today, really longs a long way for an independent artist whose trying to get their message across.

::From Brazil to Canada::
SHAKY KNEES is the solo project of singer-songwriter Bruno Bin.
Born and raised in megalopolis Sao Paulo, Brazil, Bruno’s unique use of rhythm blends American blues-rock with Brazilian roots. Alongside with strong melodies and insightful lyrics, he’s far from your everyday coffee shop singer-songwriter.
Bruno moved to Canada at the age of 20, where he would spend the next few years touring the country. From NFLD to Vancouver Island all the way to the North West Territories, Bin toured several times as the lead guitar player and front man of rock band Inner City Elegance.
On SHAKY KNEES, Bin transitions into life on the road as a singer-songwriter with an ever-rotating slew of guests and friend musicians and further strengthens his voice as an emerging artist.
2013 saw SHAKY KNEES release 15 original tracks, recorded live, one take, on the streets of Toronto and NYC. Following up on his debut European performance at Bassline Festival in Helsinki, Finland, SHAKY KNEES headed right into the studio to work with producer Moon:and:6 (Whitehorse) on “7 Years”, his debut full-length album.
Recorded at Catherine North Studios in Hamilton, a church turned studio- high ceilings, big room- a lot of the songs in “7 Years” were tracked live off the floor with no click.
One of the tracks, “Won’t Beg You”, was produced by Boy Wonder at a cottage on Georgina Island; live, one take, on a beautiful Summer night. “All That You Deserve”, the album closing track, was produced by award-winning producer Gavin Bradley, (Nelly Furtado, Kylie Minogue, Joss Stone, Serena Ryder) and the album artwork was done by Finnish artist Emilia Kannosto.
Mastered in Brooklyn, NYC, by Joe Lambert, “7 Years” is out now. I hope you love it.
