Shaley, grew up in the town of Fort Collins, Colorado. She started performing at the age of five and as a trained dancer and self-taught musician, entered the Colorado Academy of the Arts, where she would train every day after school. In her spare time, Shaley started writing songs on the piano, and landed a spot on a local cable channel, where they started featuring her original music at only 14 years old. "I think that was the moment I knew what I was supposed to do. It all seemed so magical to me. It was like a light switch had clicked on and from that day forward, my singing and song writing became my first priority."
She later received a music scholarship to Colorado State University, and entered college as a music major. “...But, when I finally got to college, it was as if there was a voice inside me, telling me I needed to be somewhere else," says Shaley. So, she packed up her car, and moved to Los Angeles.
During her time in LA, she went on to win radio contests, collaborated with multiple artists, toured California and Vegas, and got placements in TV and movie projects. She got back to her theater and acting roots, and starred in multiple full length feature films. One of her notable achievements was the leading role in the horror/thriller “The Hitchhiker”, in which she also scored an original song in the soundtrack.
As of late, Shaley has teamed up with Anthony Lavin of the British band “The Filthy Souls” to form “Welcome To Winter”. They were recently nominated for the "Hollywood Music In Media Awards" for two of their original songs right after their first EP was produced. They continue to work together, as a side project--and enjoy writing and producing together, in their home studios. Shaley now spends her time in both Colorado and Los Angeles, and is working on a new album with Sugarfox Records & The Shaley Scott Band. She's also recording a children's CD, and writing an original musical, among other things.
The recording has begun....Stay tuned!

Lyrics

"Claymation Girl"

Written By: Shaley Scott

When I was young I had a goal,
Didn't care if it raped my soul.
I've been milked completely dry,
Sometimes it's hard to cry...

I've given in, I've compromised--
I've been loved, and I've been despised.
I've been abused, I've been harrassed...
I still wake up, and I kiss some ass.

I twist, I bend--in every which way,
You hold me, you mold me--
And, I do what you say.
I twist, I bend--in every which way,
You make me, and you can break me--
So, I do what you say.

I'm a claymation girl.
I'm a claymation girl.

I'm like a god damn needle point--
Threading in and out of this joint.
I'm surround by Robin Hoods,
Who want to steal my riches...
And take my goods.

Like Pinocchio, I want to be real--
Like the Tin Man, I want to FEEL...
But, I'm just putty in your hand,
Bending backwards at your command.

I twist, I bend--in every which way,
You hold me, you mold me--
And, I do what you say.
I twist, I bend--in every which way,
You make me, and you can break me--
So, I do what you say.

I'm a claymation girl.
I'm a claymation girl.

Style

Written By: Shaley Scott

You hit me like a freight train--
Running me over with your sugar cane
You shatter me with your grace--
Knocking my senses all over the place
It isn't even funny, those lips of honey--
Radioactive eyes, melting me like the sunrise...

Nobody drives me crazy like you do
Sit down, and stay a while
Sorry to be so forward--but, I have to
You make me smile
Oh, I dig your Style...
I dig your style

Unrivaled electricity--
Your presence has a hold on me
If they stripped me of my eyes, and I had no choice--
I'd feel blessed, just living in your voice
You're like a storm that thunders through each vein--
Your touch is the lightning, and your soul is the rain...

Nobody drives me crazy like you do
Sit down, and stay a while
Sorry to be so forward--but, I have to
You make me smile
Oh, I dig your Style...
I dig your style
