Shallow and the Deep are rapidly becoming one of the most exciting and original unsigned bands in the UK. Their style can be best described as a fusion of hip-hop, electronica, chillout and grime. Bursting with energy, their live sets featuring real instruments are unrivaled and unmatched throughout the scene.

The four piece from London are emerging as a world class band which encapsulate the soundscape of inner city life. Front man MC Cope paints a landscape picture of the ups and downs of society with his deep and compelling lyrics. His mind is a rhyme book and each song is a page which tells a story of love, of life and of labour. Portraying the common mans story without rapping about guns and violence. Lyrically MC Cope is more in tune with peers such as Mike Skinner and Jehst.
Loud and raucous guitars, picturesque synthesizers, melodic pianos, tight cuts and scratches, glued together by driving drum rhythms give the music and creative, original and gripping edge.
With the single 'Cogs and Wires', the self-titled EP and the album 'Treading Water' all ready to drop, the future is looking bright for this foursome. Currently touring around London, the buzz is getting louder with every show.
