Shallows of the Mundane

Shallows of the Mundane perform all original music and are currently engaged in the production of their debut release “Sorrow” featuring the show-stopping title track along with ten other musically diverse compositions. The music contained on “Sorrow” reflects the musical telepathy that exists between Mike Beato and Keith Valenti; the founders and musical soul of the uber-power-trio that is Shallows of the Mundane.

In addition to penning all of the Shallow’s lyrics and handling lead vocals, Mike Beato, plays six string bass and teams with multi-faceted drummer John Celantano to create a rhythm section solid enough to support a skyscraper. Keith Valenti provides the band’s soaring melodies courtesy of his collection of 7 string Carvin and Ibanez guitars. The always-dapper guitarist is a focal point of Shallows’ live performances with his kinetic movements and larger than life stage presence.

Keith and Mike compose Shallows music which has evolved through the band’s relentless performance schedule which has seen them progress from small bars and clubs on their native Long Island to such prestigious venues as New York City’s Irving Plaza; Sullivan Hall and the legendary, dearly departed, CBGB.
