Shaman Juans Top 10 Facts
1. In 1964 as a 16 year old he recorded at Chess Rec's in Chicago.
There at the time was Chuck Berry, Willie Dixon, and the Rolling Stones.
2. In 1968 his group The Messengers was signed to Motown Records, ( the Messengers were the first white artists signed to Motown). They had 3 top 40 American hits and the No#3 record in Japan in 1972.
3. As a writer/producer/engineer/studio owner he collaberated on an incredible variety of projects from the Ramones(Rock'n Roll High School) to Gun's and Roses( Appetite for Distruction), from the Turtles (co- wrote/produced Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Adventures of the American Rabbit), to several projects with John Mayall and the Blues Breakers. He recorded/produced over 100 major projects in LA from 1979-1989.
4. He made two appearances on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson as a performance artist( the singing dog contest). 1979-1980.
5. Worked as a union editor for Warner Bros Telepictures from 1989-2004.(Full House, Fresh Prince, Friends, Powderpuff Girls, Michael Jackson's Moon Walker, Dallas, Falcon Crest, Knots Landing, 100's more).
6. After an industrial "accident" in 2004 he retired to the North Woods where he became SHAMAN JUAN (mystic poet).
7. 2006, Released " Shaman Juan Live at the Lake". A live video concert of original songs.
8. 2007, Executive producer of "LOVER'S and DOLLARS": By Frank Hoier and the Weber Brothers. (NPR featured artist's Oct 2008).
9. 2008 realized the "21rst century revelation" ( we're monkeys and we need to act like it).
10. 2010 finished the CD "A Mysterious Force" (platapus) for 1/1/2011 release
