Shamracq, (born Shamar Gowe on 15 July, 1989 in Spanish Town, Jamaica) is a Jamaican reggae musician, who was raised in the parish of St. Catherine. The artiste is known for his unique voice, versatility and song writing skills.

His big break wouldn’t come much later but his talent would be recognized at a tender age. As a baby he would dance to any sound of music and would use his toys as instruments. By the age of nine Shamracq was already writing his own songs and performing in his community, school and church events.

He would gradually become a household name throughout Jamaica and expand his craft in the wider Caribbean.

In 2013, Shamracq’s career blossomed when he visited Montserrat, a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. With no intension to stay Shamracq got involved in the annual Montserrat Festival in the Calypso arena a genre. With hits like “Come Wine Up Pon Me” and “Got This Feeling” gave the artist is opportunity to travel to neighboring island such as St Kitts and Nevis & Antigua and Barbuda.

He’s lived on the volcanic island ever since and cemented his career there after the phenomenal campaign song for PDM Political Party, which helped them to gain popularity to form the government of Montserrat.

The regional and international press has been buzzing with news of Shamracq’s success and the artiste is sure to continue to surge to higher.
