Queensland’s newest country sensation Shandell recently released her latest EP ‘Satin and Steel’, and the response to this natural born star has been overwhelming.

Shandell grew up on her parent’s farm in Dimbulah, Far North Queensland. Aside from her passion for music she has a great love of horses. Shandell continues to compete in rodeo events across Australia.

This passion also led her straight to the lead role at the ‘Australian Outback Spectacular’ on the Gold Coast, incorporating music by Lee Kernaghan, Garth Porter and Bruce Rowland, as well as a pre-show performer where her singing, performing and horsemanship are combined into one amazing show.

Shandell has been recognised on the international country music circuit as a gifted song-writer and talented performer. At 17, Shandell was the youngest winner ever and first Australian musician to win the prestigious Nashville Songsearch Competition for her song ‘Here With Me’.

This acclaim led Shandell to Nashville where she has begun developing her craft as a songwriter in the country music heartland, working alongside the industry’s most acclaimed songwriters including Craig Wiseman and Brett James who have written international hits for artists such as Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood and Tim McGraws’ hit ‘Live Like You were Dying’.

Shandell has since been turning heads back home during Australia’s most recognised music events, being awarded Entertainer of the Year and Senior Female Vocalist of the Year at Tamworth Country Music Festival. Shandell was also awarded the sought after Pellegrino Scholarship in 2011, and a current finalist in the International Unsigned Only Music Competition.

Shandell brings a wealth of experience, song-writing talent and her stunning vocal delivery to her latest release Satin and Steel.
