"Back on the Scene – International Entertainer on the Rise in Atlanta, GA"

Atlanta, GA - July 16, 2010 - A year ago, Shane Smith was in Tel-Aviv, Israel preparing for a tour as the lead singer in a Top 40’s band. Now only two months after being back in Atlanta, Georgia, the singer, dancer and actor, as well as director, is beginning to make a big splash. Shane has already made two appearances on Fox 5 TV with Kingsized and Tongo Hiti, both led by local favorite, Mike Geier. And she’s also had an appearance on the OT Radio Show, with multiple performances throughout the city performing at various corporate and social events.

With her company, Stella Entertainment, Shane is producing the entertainment, as well as performing for The Special Occasion’s Venetian Re-launch on Saturday, July 24th, at 7:30 PM, at Le Bam Art Space. Led by Jade Ladson, the CEO of The Special Occasion, this exclusive invitation-only event is proving to be the who’s who for both the Atlanta press, as well as for those in the event planning industry.

Some of Shane’s other upcoming dates include Trader Vic’s with Tongo Hiti and Dames Aflame on Thursday July 29th, and Thursday, August 5th from 8 PM – 10 PM. Also included is Kingsized’s Elvis Royale, featuring Shane with the Dames Aflame at the Variety Playhouse on Friday, August 13th and Saturday, August 14th. And with a host of other dates being added, it’s becoming quite clear that Shane Smith will quickly become the name to remember.

Great granddaughter of a small circuit vaudeville dancer, multi talented performer, Shane Smith, was the first in her family since, to be bitten by the stage bug. As a dancer, actress and vocalist, she has performed in several musical and dance productions such as Sweet Charity, Chorus Line, Anything Goes, Coppelia, The Lottery, Sesame Street Live’s Super Grover: Ready For Action (National Tour)and Air Guitar (Dominican Republic.)

In Atlanta, Georgia, Shane has had roles at the Horizon Theatre, Whole World Theatre, 14th Street Playhouse and the Fox Theatre. Her directing credits and choreography credits include the NAACP’s National HBCU Pageant, For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When the Streets Were Too Much ( Dad’s Garage), Schoolhouse Rocks (Lionheart Theatre) and Hip Hop Kidz (Dominican Republic.) She is a company member of Dames Aflame and Dance Brazil and has also been a company member of Bacchus Productions, and Brooks and Company Dance. Under corporate entertainment, Shane has been in performances for Microsoft, Coca Cola, Absolute Vodka, Legacy Toyota, Kroger, Jezebel Magazine, Level Vodka, Bank of America and Herbal Life, to name a few.

As a model, Shane’s credits include the Pecan Pie Couture Fashion Show at Opera, and Smoke Signals, The It Collection and Fafi Line for MAC Cosmetics. Shane Smith is also the director of Stella Entertainment, a company specializing in providing entertainment for a variety of corporate and social events.

Some of Shane’s most notable performances have been opening for recording artist Ne-yo, with Dance Brazil, performing with Dames Aflame for the Jezebel Magazine New Year’s Eve Party, and again for the Sugarland Band tour wrap party, and her many performances on Fox 5 TV with the band, Kingsized.

Shane has spent the last two years traveling throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, the Middle East, Europe and the Mediterranean singing, dancing, teaching and directing productions. She is currently in Atlanta, Georgia, performing and producing entertainment, as well as writing songs for an upcoming EP album.
