Still working on that hot first release.

When Shane Mauss (pronounced moss like on a tree or like the idiot football player) was an eight year old child growing up in a small town in Wisconsin, a friend said to him, You should be a stand up comic! Shane asked, Whats that? His friend explained, Its a person that goes on a stage, tells jokes, and makes people laugh. Shane knew right then what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
Because there was nowhere in his small town to start a comedy career, Shane decided to move to a coast near NY or LA. By chance, he ended up tagging along with a friend to Boston which just happens to be one of the best cities in the country to begin and develop as a stand up.
In April 2004 Shane took a class on stand up began going to open mikes and quickly gained the attention and respect from comics and comedy bookers with his offbeat, creative, and clever material, his prolific writing, and laid back style. The Boston Metro says, Mauss riffs about dirty things, but his deadpan delivery has a sweet, almost jovial quality. Its this dichotomy that made Mauss stand out among all other comedians at the U.S. Comedy Arts festival. Paul Provenza, creator of The Aristocrats, said on the Penn Jillette show, Shane Mauss is really, really terrific. Hes a really unique voice. It was so clear that he had so much skill and craft. Very smart stuff! Those are some great quotes with only one problem, they are 100% true. So they cant possibly be as good as made up quotes from a made up sources like this one, I want you inside me!!! Partytown Womens College.
In less than three years Shane has had much success including:
Finalist in the 2006 International Boston Comedy Festival
2007 Original Las Vegas Comedy Festival
A finalist in the Laughs Across America Contest
And most recently was 1 of 22 stand up comics from around the world invited to the very prestigious
HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, where he was awarded Best Stand Up Comic of 2007
Late Night with Conan OBrien
Though for many, these things would be a career highlight, for Shane Mauss it is just the beginning of much more to come. What started as a foolish boyhood dream has quickly become a reality. To be continued
