SHANE WOOTEN BIO:

The Shane Wooten Band is a sweet blend of New Country and Southern Rock, which produces a very natural sound for this Florida based band. Furthermore, when listening to their tracks you can hear the strong influences of the Jimmy Buffett, Jim Croce, and Bellamy Brothers in recent the band’s EP release, which features the Bellamy Brothers on 2 of the 3 tracks “Running with a Redneck Crowd” and “Pitbulls and Chainsaws”, which was written by David Bellamy of the Bellamy Brothers.

Furthermore, you will hear the strong Jimmy Buffett presence in Shane’s Florida hit single release from 2009 titled “Shovel’n Sunshine”, which is a great song that takes the listener to a tropical oasis and with its Caribbean beat and flavor. The band followed the song’s chart action with a music video, which they filmed in St Pete Beach, FL on October 10, 2009, which was Shane’s birthday and one of the hottest days in recent history reaching almost 100 degrees, so the band was really Shovel’n Sunshine.

Shane Wooten is also know throughout the Central Florida area for his weekly radio show, known as FL Country Buzz with Shane Wooten, which airs on Sunday nights at 9 pm on WTRS 102.3 FM. In addition, Shane recently signed on as the host of the American Country Music Chart Countdown, which will be a national weekly syndicated radio show and video countdown.

Shane Wooten Band is also well known for giving back to the community. For example, Shane founded the Toys for Tykes Country Jam while in college completing his MBA, which helps raise toys and awareness for abused and neglected children in rural communities in Florida. The band also does performances for other great causes most notably the University of Central Florida’s Relay for Life, Horse for Hospice, and in 2010 the band performed at the 1st Annual Festival of the Beaches in Panama City Beach at Spinnakers as the opening act of the Bellamy Brothers.

The Band has worked alongside many other National recording artists over the last few years at many high profile events, such as Bo Bice, UCF Arena’s opening weekend with Reba, and Shane was the opening act for Josh Gracin at a Florida based Night Club.

The band is also well known for their very high energy and youthfulness on stage featuring t-shirt and confetti cannons. Also, Shane is known for his signature high kick, which he mastered while being a State and World Karate Champion in the late 90’s as well his walking on bars and playing out in the audience.
