A mix between reggae, experimental and rock, Shank Bone is made up of four guys. With influences such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Santana, the band covers a bunch of different genres while still managing to have a sound of its own.

Bio
Shank Bones began in the spring of 2008 in the small college town of Athens, Ohio. The 4 members met at the weekly "open jams" at the local pub, Jackie O's. Within a few months of meeting the 4 members decided to form a band together and soon realized they had something worth pursuing. They have since been playing the Ohio scene relentlessly as well as playing other cities in the region as often as possible.
It is hard to say who their influences really are because each member comes from a uniquely separate background and all have their own main influences. This allows them to bring it all into a melting pot where something fresh and new can be created. To name a few, however, they would be Phish, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Disco Biscuits, The Budos Band, Frank Zappa, Primus, etc.
