Bio

Breaking into country music in New England is never easy but Shanna Jackman has recently been acknowledged as a... "is a force to be reckoned with, and quite possibly, the next great country singer.”

Shanna has opened up for artists such as: Ronnie Dunn, Blake Shelton, Gretchen Wilson, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, Darryl Worley, Lee Brice, Collin Raye, Jo-Dee Messina and others!

Bringing together her own signature style of rock and soul into her country-flavored music, Shanna Jackman commands the stage and captivates her audiences with her powerful vocals and high energy performances.

Formally with the band, Not in Kansas, Shanna juggles a busy schedule but still finds time to always give back to her community. She is frequently chosen to perform the National Anthem at numerous charity, Military and sporting events. When she became a Reserve Police Officer in 2005, she represented her department well, performing the anthem before the Boston Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics games.

Shanna's awards include: 2009 Stars Over Boston: Unsung Heroes Who Sing, 2010 WCTK 98.1’s Country Idol, Most Promising Vocalist and Entertainer by New England Country Music Organization (NECMO) in 2011, the 2012 NECMO Horizon Award for her single "In My Truck" and 2013 WMRC Award for Best Local Single! When discussing her accomplishments she said “…I have so much to be thankful for. I have really been blessed so much in my life and have had some amazing experiences. But, what still gets to me are the smaller things, like performing the National Anthem for our troops.”

When discussing her newest single, “In My Truck,” writing music about her life experiences is the only thing that makes sense. “I can’t write about what other people have gone through, because I didn't walk in their shoes. I wouldn't know how they truly felt. I can only write about my experiences, good or bad. It’s what I know, and hopefully, someone else can relate to it too.”

Shanna is currently co-writing with songwriters from Texas, Nashville and Canada.
