Bio

Should’ve been a cowboy..."
"Well, maybe not a cowboy ... Perhaps a cowgirl!" says talented country singer/songwriter, Shanna Lynn. "Those are the specific lyrics I remember when I fell in love with country music. Something about the good ol' country twang just hit me that day."
At eighteen months old, she started to sing and hasn't stopped since! Her first performance for her family was "When You Hold a Rosy Apple" and "Happy Birthday", which she sang to everybody and everything (including the microphone!) "Believe me, there are hours and hours of tapes to prove this, if anyone ever wanted to listen," she jokes.
In summer 2005, Shanna played Amanda Bynes' soccer double in the DreamWorks picture 'She's the Man'. "What an exciting way to spend the summer - playing soccer all day with people like Vinnie Jones. It was a terrific experience!"
After high school, Shanna re-directed her focus back to her first love…singing and writing. She won the 93.7 JRFM New Country Challenge 5 nights in a row and the Kamloops Can Am Challenge. She has performed at the BCCMA Awards show and was featured on The Morning News with Steve Darling.
In January of 2008 she made her debut with an impressive collection of material including five songs which she had a hand in co-writing. The self-titled album has already yielded a terrific tune in Shanna Lynn’s debut single ‘As Long as You Love Me’. This release has everything that ‘hit’ records are made of.
There’s some clever variety as well. Among the potential future hits and front runners…When You Come Around, a slow lost love song; the soft country tune Wonderin’ (her second single release), and the bluesy ‘Cry Like Memphis’.
This Past September Shanna Lynn was also selected to open the 2010 Olympic oval in her hometown of Vancouver B.C, December 13th 2008. She is currently teaming up with the Canadian Blood Bank to be the spokesperson for this valuable cause.
Shanna is continuing to write, record and in the process of writing a reality TV show” The road to Nashville with Shanna Lynn”
The album was produced by Bill Buckingham, one of the top studio bosses on the West Coast country scene and features outstanding session work by such notables as Robbie Steininger (guitars/mandolin, banjo and dobro). Mike Sanyshyn (fiddle), John Ellis on steel guitar, and Rocko Vaugeois (of One Horse Blue fame) on drums.
This talented singer/songwriter is on the road to success, she dreams BIG and there is no stopping her
….…so hold onto your horses folks cause’ this is one ride you won’t want to miss!
