It's Never Too Late, I Can't Take It Anymore

Shannan started singing at a very young age, influenced by a large musical family that broke into musical sing-a-longs & jams at most family events. Always encouraged by many friends and family members to pursue music as a career, Shannan never let go of her dream.

Her talents led Shannan to Westmoreland Records, being asked to sing lead on a county song written by a friend. During the studio work, Shannan met producer Carl Jennings.
"After completing this recording session, Carl suggested I start writing my own songs and have my own identity".

Shannan immediately began to write lyrics and melodies, and found the passion and the songs pouring out. Shannan also started to collaborate with her brother Kevin O'Brien, a singer / guitarist whom she's always had a creative bond with. "At every family musical gathering, Kevin & I always sang together, it always felt right, we always were on the same page musically".
Carl started to help shape the new songs, and then the magic began as Shannan came into her own as talented singer / songwriter.

"I've had the good fortune to work with so many great artists"; Blake Manning (David Wilcox, Alex Lifeson) Sean O'Grady (The Wilkinsons, Gordon Lightfoot), Tim Jennings (Freedom Train), Darren Lachance (?), Bob Lucier (Anne Murray), Jeff Heisholt (The Trews), Don Reed (Dwight Yokam), Carl Jennings & Kevin O'Brien all contributed on the project.
"I am currently working with my brother on writing original material for my first CD to continue this fabulous journey - new songs will be out soon!"
