Bio
A wandering and exuberant soul who's filled with the desire to make beautiful and meaningful original folk-rock music, Shannon Ames plays a number of instruments (violin, guitar, piano, and percussion), and he has explored many different musical styles, including folk, rock, jazz, bluegrass, Celtic, and other World music. Shannon has worked to define his own unique musical voice and has found his niche playing and singing his original folk-rock compositions.
Shannon has spent the last decade studying, traveling, and teaching internationally, as well as composing and collecting songs for the purpose of self-expression and to share with audiences worldwide. The past six years, Shannon was living, songwriting and performing in Paris and La Rochelle, France, where he collaborated with talented local musicians to record his second full-length album, which is released April 2014!
