Shannon Therese Mason heats up the air waves with her ability to reach new heights. Her versatile voice is a compliment to every beat of her music. Michigan’s newest star comes from Madonna’s hometown of Rochester Hills. A fearless singer-songwriter, Shannon possesses a remarkable vocal talent, an exciting dance style, and an engaging yet unobtrusive personality on and off stage that draws people in. Shannon Therese Mason prepared for her singing career throughout her childhood and teens. She performed for many years in a Michigan-based gifted and talented singing group that consisted of only the finest young vocalists and performers in the Metropolitan Detroit area. Shannon did community theatre along performing arts school (taking courses in music theory and dance) for half of her daily education. Shannon additionally performed at numerous community fairs, did various musicals, plays, and furthermore sang at local parades. Shannon was privileged to be hand picked to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” at Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena (Home of the Detroit Red Wings), and The Palace of Auburn Hills (Home of the Detroit Pistons.) Her larger success happened when she received a record contract at a very young age and took flight between Atlanta, Georgia to Detroit; where she recorded 14 original tracks. Through that time Shannon learned, grew and developed as an artist. She kept performing, perfecting her craft and shortly was introduced to David Wilkes (Record A&R for Linus/Koch Records.) He hooked her up with an astounding producer named Joe Kurasz and she recorded a 5 song, blues inspired Demo. She is presently gearing up to do a show at the famous New York City venue called The Bitter End, and it is indeed a must see performance. Shannon has moreover worked with countless other famous people including: Nate Anderson (Producer/band member to Love Arcade; signed to Atlantic Records), Sakina (choreographer for R&B stars Nivea/R. Kelly), Alfonso Walker a.k.a. Doc (producer for Latasha Scott; keyboards for R. Kelly and Keith Sweat,) and Michael J. Powell (producer for scores of artists including; Tyrese, Anita Baker, and Aretha Franklin.) “Passion is a feeling that almost defies explanation, “she observes. “It drives you to keep going, it excites you, it hurts you, it moves you, it strengthens you, but most of all it enables you to keep striving for more. Ever since I was a young girl, I have felt this way about music. Everyone around me, including me knew that with my talent, ambition for success, and positive attitude I was going to make it, no matter what it took.” Shannon possesses the drive and hard work ethic’s imperative to make it in the music industry. That coupled with her talent, and positive can-do attitude is a certain recipe for success. Not bad for a beautiful, young woman in her early twenties.
