ShanonMarie was raised on a farm in the country hills of Tennessee. At an early age she was mesmerized by the rhythm of music and gave concerts for the local farm animals. Thanks to her elementary music teacher who gave her private piano lessons she learned to read music. In high school she excelled as a solo artist and won several state championships. Later in college she performed as a soloist with a professional group.

After graduating college she worked in several European markets as a professional model appearing in national magazines such as Seventeen, W, Bazaar, NY Times Magazine, and so many others. During that time she recorded and performed in Paris, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, and South Africa.

After 911 ShanonMarie's song Because I'm American was selected for radio airplay out of 500 submissions.
ShanonMarie currently lives in New York city as singer/songwriter and performer.
