Bio
Shant is a young producer from the Boston area with a love for music ranging from Tchaikovsky to Jay-Z. Growing up in an Armenian househould, he heard the sounds of eastern rhythms from Armenia and Lebanon that his parents would play. Being a young person growing up in America, he was exposed to all forms of pop music that define American culture. These two influences come out in his music in a unique way, offering something fresh to hip-hop and R&B.
Shant's introduction to music came when he got his first guitar at nine years old. At age 16 Shant saved up enough money to buy an Akai MPC sampler/drum machine. Since then Shant has been producing Hip-Hop and R&B tracks with a unique sound. His first professional job came in 2005 when his music was used for the tv show "Its the Shoes" on ESPN 2. With the success of the first season, his music was selected once again to be used for the second season in the summer of 2006.
