Bio

Bio:
Shapeshifter gave their first concert May 6th 2011, barely one month after they first met in the rehearsal room.
It was clear from the start … play some kick ass rock’n’roll, not too much rehearsing and keep it exciting on stage.
Since that first gig Shapeshifter played about 45 concerts and obtained a great live reputation.
A few months ago Shapeshifter was picked up as the houseband of the legendary music club Boom Boom in Ghent. At least once a month die hard fans and new fans can see them there, from time to time with guest musicians.
To celebrate their one year anniversary a debut album, simply called “Shapeshifter” was brought out. 12 Songs, including a surprising cover of the Rolling Stones classic “Parachute woman” give you a good idea what to expect when going to Shapeshifter gig.
At this very moment Shapeshifter is working on the second album which will include some acoustic tracks.

RifRaf Magazine …
“ At first you would think you’re listening to some old recordings from the heydays of The Scabs. The drive, the vocals, the attitude, everything on this cd reminds you of that. But bit by bit this Ghent based band adds quite some explosive material to that heritage. This album reminds us of Lou Reed’s “Rock’n’roll Animal”, as well as The Doors’ “Riders On The Storm”, The Vibrators, The Stranglers and The Georgia Satellites. If you want to book these guys … make it quick, because in our opinion their agenda will be full very soon. Shapeshifter … not the future of rock’n’roll but great heirs for sure !”
