Shaquan D.O.N., a Baltimore, MD Native. He has been influenced by Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Linkin Park. Quincy Jones and Rick Rubin have inspired Shaquan�s music production. Shaquan reached early success as a writer, producer, and artist in 1995 with a group named D.O.M.E.S.W.E.L.L.A.S with vinyl sales over seas and radio play with hit songs off the Breakin� Thru 4 Delf ep. Since this time Shaquan D.O.N. has been cultivating his craft not only in the Hip Hop market, but many musical genres as well to appeal to a wide fan base. He has been featured in Baltimore�s �b� newspaper in 2009 as a featured artist in their �Almost famous article�. �For 2009, the term �Yes We Can� will justly serve as the maxim for the Baltimore hip-hop scene. As there have been many stops and starts to the movement, artists are now beginning to band as one for the better good of letting their talent shine on a national platform. Shaquan writes timeless songs that contain gut-wrenching lyrics, original concepts and stories so powerful it captivates the listener's emotions and attention throughout each song. Shaquan's enigmatic recipe; it's melodic, hypnotic and psychotic with a pinch of logic. He is the voice of the youth. What separates Shaquan from the competition is his ability to inspire others through sharing everyday life experiences in his music. He plays at least 2-3 shows a week backed by a live band titled S.D.G.EXPERINCE and has a draw of about 30-50 fans per show. Shaquan Has Released a C.D. Titled By Any Means Necessary that has sold 2500 copies independently. Shaquan�s niche market of vinyl consumers overseas has been selling records ranging from $135-$255 a piece! Shaquan�s Motto is to be the most persistent, most consistent, and always ready to make things happen in an instant. But this has only been the beginning�the future is yet to come!
