Biography

May I Interest you in a story that has many human interest facets that would appeal
to a multi-generational audience and a bi-regional market i.e. Philadelphia and Central PA
Retired Philadelphia Special Education teacher (32 years) after 40 years in Philly,
moves to Central PA. After renovating his old farmhouse, he decides to resurrect his
long deferred dream of rock stardom and his personal campaign to raise awareness
and funds for programs that provide for the assimilation of special needs children
into our communities.
1st Step - Bring previous records into digital world - a 6 song EP recorded in '83
and a cassette single in '92 - recorded during 20 years of performing in Phila.
at night while teaching during the day.
2nd Step - Record a new CD of his songs of social commentary and
Rock n' Roll bravado and angst.
3rd Step - Add 4 songs and 2 music videos to his cassette single, Share The Sunshine,
to be used as a fund-raiser for his favorite charities.
4th Step - Put together a band to promote new CD - Surfin' With The Sharks and a
quartet (2 cellos, keyboard, and guitar) to promote the new CD/DVD Sunshine Collection.
5th Step - Reach out to the media to tell my story.
My friends tell me that what makes this story all the more compelling is that
I've achieved these milestones in spite of my Cerebral Palsy.

Lyrics

Share The Sunshine

Written By: E.D. Ward

Some of us.....sometimes
find our lives a little lonesome
the walls a little closer
the door to far away

To forget....for awhile
we have problems we must deal with
and though there's no solution
we'd like to get away.........

To our friends....to have fun
Sing and dance in the sun
We have love deep inside
For the friends in our lives

And through it all.......the clouds and rain
We need to see.......Sunshine again
Can you just......
Share the sunshine....
Hold the rain....
Give the gift....
....of laughter today

Some of us....do dream
we wish the walls would vanish
and though they're just dreams
they help us through the day

It's not much....that we need
to grow a little stronger
Can you stay a little longer
to see us on our way

(Bridge & Chorus)

Hide n' Seek

Written By: E.D. Ward

Goodnight my Little Pearl
Asleep in your shell
Sandman will soon be here
To cast his sweet spell

Dancing dolls, the children call
And laugh out your name
Come with us, Oh, you must
Come let us play

Hide n' Seek
Don't you peek
Find us and play (repeat)

Goodnight my Little Pearl
Follow your dreams
Night-time is movie time
Of places you'll see

Some are true, some are false
Some make you cry
Some have been, some will be
Some you'll see twice

Hide n' Seek
Don't you peek
Find us and play (repeat)

I Dance Inside

Written By: E.D. Ward

Morning sunrise fills the sky
Wings my feet so I can fly
Mercury, quicksilver streak
Feed my face and hit the street

But sometimes things don't go
My shoes are dirty and the cash won't flow
I find my station on the radio
And let that music fill my soul

I Dance Inside (4x's)

Be-bop toots on the radio
Finger popping, I can't go slow
Gyrate, vibrate, don't hesitate
Let that music be your escape

Iraq, irritate, I sublimate
The bad news blues of the pending doom
Find my station on the radio
And let that music fill my soul

I Dance Inside (4x's)

Iran, irritate, I sublimate
The bad news blues of the pending doom
Find my station on the radio
And let that music fill my soul

Be Content With Who You Are

Written By: E.D. Ward

I got your number, I know your name
Not much more, but hey, I'm game
I'm not Adam, and you're not Eve
But we're related, I do believe

Keep telling myself to be brave
This will pass and I'll be saved
And don’t expect the stars
Just be content...with who you are

With who you are (4x's)

Tarzan, Gaugian, even King Kong
I've played them all, but not for long
My life's been one amusement park,
mirror houses and bumping cars

Bridge

With who you are (4x's)

Big SUV or a Microbus
Anyway you travel, it's just enough
To go from here to there to here
Who’s really watching, who really cares

Bridge

With who you are (4x's)

Fly Away To Ecstasy

Written By: E.D. Ward

Round and round the wheel does go
With a story to unfold
Fortunes fly as fortunes fall
Happens to us, one and all

Fly Away To Ecstasy
Imagine the possibilities
Fly Away To Ecstasy
Live your life with dignity

Man must sweat for what he wants
Every road must have it's bumps
Children sing the sound of "Om"
Lose it and you live alone

Chorus

Starting is the hardest part
Easy to always put it off
You can sing the sound of "Om"
Lose it and you live alone

Chorus

Blessed be

Written By: E.D. Ward

Sun-shine, boy-man, won't you sing me your song
Sing it soft and sing it slow
Sing of the virtues of dirt soiled hands
And of the men who reap and sow
Farmer-man, I prayed today
For a gentle wind to bring the rain

Mothers, daughters, don't hold out your hand
You have a voice, you belong
Sing out for justice and peace in this land
Shatter the sword with your song
Hey women, I see the day
When your shining light will lead the way

Children, small friends...hey, lend me your ears
I have a story to tell
Love has no beauty without any tears
We are all pearls in our shells
Find your light, it's the only way
Praise the Lord in you and me
and they and everyone today

Praise the Lord in Everyone today (repeat)
