Bio

I have always considered myself a “weirdo”. I grew up as tomboy. I was the only girl in the mist of three brothers who didn’t mind tackling me as soon as I thought I was bad enough to grab a football. My mom did it all on her own, we struggled but we made it. Now as a mother or three boys, my goal is to show my boys that regardless of how impossible the odds may seem it is necessary that you follow your dreams. My boys are my biggest fans and if they were my only fans I would still consider my self successful.
In the words of artist/ music engineer E. Clark "Amour's music is impressive and refreshing". In addition to that opinion I must say so myself that my music can definitely be considered a “breath of fresh air”. Rapping since the age of twelve, my love for music is overwhelming. Music for me is my getaway, my paradise, a place to put all my feelings. The beat never judges me; it always allows me to be myself. I consider my music a form of lyrical artwork that vary portraying intense emotions, shared thought patterns, past and present life experiences , controversy and what I like to call “beast bars” . All in which combine to make explosive hits. I have heard many say that women from the south can't spit fire and usually don’t talk about more than what meets the material eye. Being born and raised in Atlanta, GA I can't help but to sometimes put my southern swing on my music. However, despite the negative stereotypes and with musical influences in my life ranging from Chaka Khan and Denise Williams to Lauryn HIll and Tupac, I believe that my scope and lyrical mindset is completely set apart from the norm. When listeners hear my music, it leaves them shocked and thirsting for more. As an early writer I made it a goal to always outdo myself. As people critique my music, I am already thinking in my head of two to three different versions that could “go better with that beat”. As a musical perfectionist, I don’t stop and won’t stop until I feel the song is perfect. My focus is audience driven and my goal is to get better and better with each song. I love when listener’s say “I can hear that on the radio” it gives me more motivation to keep going until I reach the top.
