The best kept secret in music

Sharktooth Grin musically spoke to the Alfred audience with a display of great energy and funky jams this past Friday. STG brought a new style to the Alfred campus that lately has been known for a more ska oriented approach. Composed of unique blend of instruments, these supersonic stage gurus write and perform original songs that can be compared to an Allman Brothers meets Guster sound, with a funk full of smooth tunes. The songs of Sharktooth Grin set a little something refreshing for the soul of Alfred's students.

Bio
Born out of boredom, creatures of a "common county." Grown in a smalltown of Ohio, the blues-groove jam style of these coffee shop hounds attracts those in need of a good dose of dynamic sound. Ever hear Miles Davis with his pants down? The upbeat, jazzy funk of Scott Griffin, Joshua Sheets, Sebastian Coleman, and Casey Turner captivates audiences born with open minds. The percussive plunderings of fly-by-night Dan Griffin are often a bonus in the Sharktooth cereal box. Shartooth Grin is widely influenced by the likes of The Allman Brothers Band, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Dave Matthews Band, 311, Frank Zappa, Jimmy Smith and Miles Davis.
