Sharlene Smith is a contemporary Gospel artist from Nassau Bahamas. Her upcoming album features top notch producers Norris Webb, Toby Rivers and Edward Hill. Sharlene's music ministry focuses on the transformation of lives, while bringing healing and deliverance through the anointing of Jesus Christ. With her favorite Scripture in mind, Philippians Chapter 4:13.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Sharlene has been propelled to share the gospel through her musical talent with others. She is most inspired by the love and support she receives from her husband, Stan Smith. Their daugher, Sabria Sanaa has brought much joy and delight to their lives as they live the life of serving the Lord. A part from possessing a rich and powerful voice, Sharlene is a talented songwriter and composer.
Sharlene comes from a long line of Gospel singers. Her mother, the late Evengelist, Iva-Mae Miller, who passed away on Juauary 6,2003, once led a dynamic gospel group called "The Moonlight Gospel Singers." Her father, Everette Miller is a Premier singer with the famous Bahamian, all male group, "The BBC Singers."
Over the years, Sharlene has been an active worship team leader and member of her local church in Nassaus, Bahamas.
Sharlene has many outstanding performances and accomplishments including winning and participating in numerous beauty pagenants. Sharlene ministered in music on Praise the Lord Trinity Broadcasting Network. Sharlene was also a member of The Bahamian Choice Choir formed by BeBe Winans for opening of the Sun International Resort. Sharlene shared the stage with such musical greats as Stephanie Mills, Michael Jackson, Donnie McClurkin and Byron Cage. The Choir appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. Sharlene has shared the stage with Pastor Paula White, Dr. Myles Munroe, Judy Mowatt, Junior Tucker, Sean Daniel, Sherwin Gardner, Harella Goodwin, and many other great artist.
The versatility of Sharlene's voice as she sings the songs on her 1st album "Loved By The One Above" ( which was nominated for a Caribbean Gospel Maulin Music Award) and "I Found Favour" to be released in 2006 will touch the life's of many and lead more of Gods children to him. Sharlene's ultimate goal is to spread the gospel of Jesus to the world.
