"Sydney riff-masters"

"These Sydney riff-masters are one of Australia's most impressive live hard rock acts!!! Fronted by two of the most impressive girl guitarist/ singers in Australian rock history. This band has honed a great balance of in-your-face melodies, killer-riffs and songs that are dynamic, crafty and ball-tearingly brilliant." - Ralph Magazine June 2006/ Australian Guitar Magazine VOL 54

"Impressive set of lungs"

"Sharmber opened the show with an impressive set of tunes and an equally impressive set of lungs from both ladies in the Sharmber frontline... Most notable was their track 'Way Down' which had the crowd interested and taking notice." - The Drum Media Issue 774/ themetalforge.com - The Butterfly effect support gig: The Crest, Sydney, A

"Thunder of applause"

The night opened with Sharmber, a favourite with the boys from Cog and right from the start the room was full. With vocals mainly performed by the two female guitarists, it was a rock-folk blend contrasting nicely with the performances to follow, expressive and melodic from the very first song 'In My Eyes'. They followed with 'Way Down' 'Gridlock' and a few other songs before taking it up a notch to drive their set home. 'Son's Gold' and 'A View' were the final songs and they were ambitious, searing rock pearls and the crowd responded well sending them off the stage in a thunder of applause." - Fasterlouder.com.au - Cog, Bang, Bang You're Deadly, Sharmber : Tinkerbox @ The Annandale 30/6/05

"Check them out"

Sharmber, a four piece fronted by two female guitarists sharing vocal duties. They performed a surprisingly enjoyable set of dark, melodic rock that reminded me at times of 'A Perfect Circle'. I was quite impressed and would recommend anyone interested to check them out." - Fasterlouder.com.au - Cog, Junto, Sharmber : The Gaelic Club 18/12/04

Bio

SHARMBER's unique sound is defined by the distinctive nature of the band's line up.

The front line ladies sing like angels but play guitar like demons. The blasting guitars and melodic vocal pairing of the girls makes SHARMBER a very unique beast. According to Australian Guitar Magazine this pairing represents “the most impressive female guitarist/ rock singer partnership in the history of Australian rock.”

The male rhythm section empower the band's driving sound and harmonious colour and depth is added vocally by the drummer, who cleverly directs the traffic without over playing. Instead he plays for the song, with groove and conviction that cannot be reckoned with.

As a collective, SHARMBER writes brilliant songs and portrays mature song-writing diversity which enables coexistence with its intensely captivated audience. SHARMBER’s music could be played almost anywhere, whilst consecutively a left of centre approach is adopted, (a trick that few bands can pull off).

In the studio SHARMBER has worked with producers Tony Wall, David Nicholas, Daniel Leffler, Rick Will and Shane Fahey. SHARMBER has released two EPs nationally and its debut album is in progress. A punchy start to the album has been made at Megaphon and Sony Mastering Studios as SHARMBER won studio time in a live competition late 2008 presented by A Red Letter Day Events, in which over 100 Sydney bands competed.

On the road SHARMBER has shared the stage with Cog and the Butterfly Effect and recently accomplished an International Tour of New Caledonia playing 6 extensive shows at the "Live En Aout" Festival which drew 10,000 punters. International Emergenza Festival 2008 also placed SHARMBER in the Top 10 finalists ahead of several competing bands across Australia and NZ, dubbing SHARMBER’s drummer as “the best in the competition”.
