Bio
Sharron Katz, born in Ottawa Ontario to Jazz musician Mort Katz, began writing songs in her teens, listening to Joni Mitchell, John Martyn, Marc Jordan and a plethora of other brilliant singer/songwriters.
Finally starting guitar lessons 6 years ago, Katz immediately came back to her focus on writing and within a year was performing in jams across the GTA. Passion and persistence have opened many doors for her as she plays shows, and records with one of Canada's top producers. Her first CD was released in June, called Love's Crime and a single from her CD has been receiving airplay on CBC radio.
Her vocals are deep and rich, and her performance leaves you wanting more.
