In 2008 she joined the band Self Made Guru and with that her confidence grew and she auditioned again for Idol in 2009. She successfully completed her first auditon and make it through to the second round, unforunately she did not make it to Sydney. in late 2008 Shauna joined forces for the first time with Perth Aussie Hip Hop duo DYVERS, they together recorded The Roads We Choose wihich is featured on their debut album Beyond Doubt.
