Shaun Moyer

Shaun Moyer is a singer/songwriter who grew up and currently lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Evoking a tough Mellencamp / Petty vibe, Shaun's ability for super melodic songwriting is evident on his rollicking debut EP “Ocean Drive”. Shaun takes the listener on a carnival ride of song, starting with the welcoming intro of “Come along for the ride” to the closing title track of “Ocean Drive”. Shaun says, “Come along for the ride was always supposed to be the invitation to the record. Like how Springsteen said Thunder Road was the invitation to Born to Run. The songs about how it's never too late to take that ride to the places you want to go in life. Whether it be a dream job, getting the girl or in my case making a record”.

If the first track was meant to propel the record, then the ending track was the destination and the party rolled into one. Filled with a gritty guitar groove and a story with characters that could of lived in early Springsteen songs. “Ocean Drive” is about a wild night down the shore. “Ocean Drive is actually the most autobiographical song I've ever written. People always ask me what's that shore song? The song really gets peoples attention”according to Shaun . Between those two tracks you'll find Lust (Crush), Love (Please forgive me) Loss (Nobody's home) and Loyalty (Friends).

Recorded at Turtle Studios in Philadelphia during 2008. “Ocean Drive” was produced and mixed by Jeff Hiatt (Chris Kasper, Dawn Iulg) and features an extremely talented cast of local artists Adrien Reju, Andrew Lipke and musicians Andrew Keenan (Citizens Band Radio), Ross Bellenoit, Todd Barneson (The Lowlands), Nate Gonzalez (Johnny Miles), Fred Burman (Amos Lee) and Tom Walling, Shaun has created what he hopes to be a sound all his own.

Currently, Shaun is playing solo shows around the Philadelphia area in hopes of gaining more
exposure, putting a band together and recording a new album in the near future.
