Shaun Newsome

At age seven, Shaun along with his family, went into the living room and prayed "God if you teach me to play and sing I will do so for your glory." He started playing bass and singing with his brother, sister, Dad and Mom whenever the opportunity arose. As the years went by Shaun took an interest in playing other instruments. After high school he went to East Coast Bible College where he traveled through various states up and down the east coast singing and playing bass. After his years at East Coast, he returned home where he served as a worship leader for about 10 years. This is where he started writing songs that God had given him. Some these songs were used in the weekly worship services at church, while others remained unsung. Shaun’s latest CD release “Purpose” is a compilation of the songs God has given him as well as a family favorite written by his grandfather nearly 50 years ago. “Purpose” is a reflection of Shaun's powerful God given voice and musical gifting.
