Growing up in the relatively small Oklahoma town of Lawton, Oklahoma, Shauntoris Jones is no stranger to hard work & dedication.  From an early age music was a presence in his life through the church choir.  He knew, singing in that choir at the tender age of 6, that he was born to sing.  As Shauntoris grew older he branched out into R&B music, which led him to create music under the pseudonym of Esspy.

In 2011, after performing for years in small venues and clubs and honing his craft, the independent album "Finally" was released under the Its On Records label.  The release was the culmination of years of hard work, but it was also just the beginning.  The album was followed by two mixtapes, Crown City vol.1 and Pyramid Life, and several videos and features for other Independent artists.  Esspy was determined to build his brand and fan base, traveling city to city to perform.  In 2011 he appeared on BET's Blaze The Stage, where he was awarded 2nd place.  While the Esspy brand was moderately successful, there was something vital missing.  A rebranding was in order and so, humbled, Esspy stepped down and Shauntoris emerged.

Shauntoris' stage presence is undeniable, his passion unequivocal.  His shows are high energy, the artist's soulful delivery and, at times, playful demeanor drawing the audience in and holding them captive.  With focus, determination and drive he continues to strive for his dream of stardom, bringing his unique sound and unstoppable energy along for the ride.  Shauntoris’ EP “Purity Rose” with the popular single I Need You was released in May 2014 to positive reviews.  He continues writing and performing, always seeking to elevate his craft.
