Shaw Langley is the heart of the Come Up Gang, both as a visionary in the expansion of the crew and as its metronome, setting the beat.  With an uncanny ability to break down, process and reconstruct rhythms, Shaw provides the tone for his crew as professionals working in an industry and as artists sharing their expressions. Shaw produces, composes, engineers and puts vocals to track after track, his unique stamp marking his musical territory.

Shaw comes by his genius honestly he springs from a line of professional singers and musicians, and his own style is rooted in jazz and gospel, primarily as a drummer and a singer. He started out hosting rap ciphers in his grandmothers basement and recording in a friends home studio, moving into beat making when he discovered a natural talent for it.  Driven by emotion and existential insight, Shaw uses his creative energies as a way to interact with the world around him and reflect back what he finds.

Shaw has garnered respect from the hip-hop industry at large, working with Gee Wunder, Sean Price, Smif  n Wessun and Swollen members in various capacities. The Come Up Gang is a manifestation of talent in Shaws city of Edmonton, and as the city continues to grow, so does the collective skill and experience of its members. Primed to leave a mark on the Canadian music industry, Shaw and his crew are going wherever their talent leads them, ready to follow their destiny and not look back.
