In The early years growing up with his grandparents William F. Voges and Sally (Faler) Voges, they introduced Shawn to singing at the age of 5 years old in their family church. He quickly developed a passion for singing gospel and country music. Coming from a strong Christian home that was full of very talented vocalist, Shawn has received a lot of encouragement and support from his grandparents, aunts and uncles. Born in Riverside, California, Shawn has moved around the country living everywhere from the Mid-west to Washington State.
* In high school Shawn was a very talented athlete in Cross Country, Wrestling and Track and Field but, was also in the schools very talented and competitive jazz and concert choir. His love of singing country music has played a major role in his life, he was influenced by Johnny Cash, George Strait & Alan Jackson just to name a few from a long list of artist.
*After high school and a year of college where he ran cross country for Spokane Falls Community College Shawn decided to put his dreams of being a country music recording artist on hold along and joined the United States Navy. He dedicated 15 years of his life to his country where he became a highly decorated 1st class Petty Officer as an Aircraft Director aboard some of the Navy's largest aircraft carriers.
*Another love of Shawn's is the rodeo where he developed a passion as a bull-rider. For several years Shawn rode with the Northwest Rodeo Circuit and Military Pro Rodeo Circuit until he got injured one too many times. Shawn stills holds a deep passion for bull riding near and dear to his heart.
* After moving to Nashville in the summer of 2007 Shawn is getting to do the one thing that he truly has loved all of his life. Through networking on the internet, Shawn came into contact with Jim Frazier of Jim Frazier Productions, Inc. In January of 2009 Shawn set up a meeting with Jim Frazier, renowned recording producer-owner and CEO of Visionway Records Nashville. Jim had an instant connection with Shawn and immediately began to set the wheels in motion for his upcoming cd project. Now signed with Visionway Records Nashville and Jim Frazier Productions they are getting ready to release his debut CD titled "Where's My Heroes" which he dedicates to all the service men and women that he has proudly called brothers and sisters for many years. They are the true heroes that never hesitate when there country calls them to duty.
