Shawn Gotts & The Ducks

Shawn Gotts, New York City native, is an R&B Artist whose rich and unique style was born from influences like Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire, Brian McKnight, and Destinys Child. Shawns musical career began in the humblest of places, St. Peters Church in the Bronx where his father was the Pastor.

Over the years Shawn performed at many talent shows & special events, including at the Apollo Theater. In 2009, with three other young men, Shawn formed an R&B group managed by celebrity stylist Kithe Brewster and choreographer Anthony Burrell. After over a year of working together, the group mutually separated to pursue solo careers.Despite the separation Shawn continued to pursue his goal of having a career in music. Of course the beginning of the journey came wrought with doubt but Shawn knew that believing in himself and leaving negative energy behind would help him to succeed. The positive energy that Shawn exuded then turned into his two EP's My Side of the Story, & "The Way It Is". "The Ducks", Shawn's background singers Kee Jermain & Naikol Singa were also formed during the development of each EP; this dynamic duo are more than background singers, they bring their input and help to arrange the sound of each song. Together Shawn Gotts & The Ducks have been featured on radio shows like "Stilletos & Convos" with Ms. Lee out of DC, Team Nitty Radio in DE, and Da Doo Dirty Show in NYC; additionally they have been featured on Power 105.1's new Artist Spotlight.

And so with eagerness and enthusiasm Shawn Gotts & The Ducks continue to press forward toward their collective dreams of bringning real music back to life; music filled with emotion, passion, and pure soul.
