Musical Soldier

Shawn Kellner made the decision to go into the Army Reserves
shortly after the September 11th terrorist attacks.
Little did Shawn know how much this would affect his music.
In November of 2003 Shawn and his reserve unit were called up onto active duty. Through his mobilization from civilian to soldier Shawn learned alot about himself, but it was not untill he arived in Kuwait, that he realized the amazing power of music and how it can touch people at their darkest hours.
While deployed Shawn developed a working relationship with joe taylor at indiebiz.com. Shawn's first EP entitled "Far From Home" was released in January 2005 on plus size records. The ep gives a unique perspective of war, being away from home, and being away from love. The far from ep goes beyond political affiliation to touch what it is to be an American. But more important than that, it touches what it means to be human. Every lyric and every note will have you relating Shawn's experiences to your own. In January 2005 Shawn returned to the united states. He currently is recording his follow up ep to the far from home ep with art garcia of the recording art studios. The new Ep entitled TURN OFF THE LIGHTS will be released in July 2005 on plus size records and will be available for sale online.
