SHAWN LADD AND THE WALL OF BEES

THE WALL OF BEES started in June of 2007. At first it was a drum and guitar duo consisting of Chad Howson and Shawn Ladd. Later on we enlisted the help of Alex MacArthur on bass to fill out the BEES sound. The BEES sound consists of HipHop beats, jazz melodies and chord progression and the ADHD of Punk.With this BEES line up and sound we went on to play a few handful of shows with every genre of band we could find (punk, metal, rockabillie, goth, indie, folk). We found that The WALL OF BEES sound is so diverse that it can fit in with any genre of music yet still hold its distinctive jazz roots. This is what sets the BEES apart from other bands is that it is high emotion jazz without the long solos found in jam band type music.
The Wall of BEES are constantly evolving by rewriting songs, learning old and new styles of music as well as looking at the potential of diversifying its line up with the possibility of a horn section. Today the BEES are working with a new bassist and are getting ready to record an EP in the next month.
