My best work has always had a serious tone to it; songs like Millionaire, which basically is pointing a finger at greed and asking why we don't fix the problems we face in our country, or songs like Lover of my soul, which is simply a song about finding your one true love. Over the years I've noticed that listeners respond the most to my heart wrenching songs that come out of life experience--songs about a loss, about life, or about hope for something better. My goal is to make a deep emotional connection to my listeners though the songs I write.
