Equal parts ecological conservationist and proud DIY artist, Shawn Lentz refuses to fit into a mold of the typified singer-songwriter. Call it coffee-shop rock or socio-political-enviro pop, but since releasing CONVERGENCE in 2001 "the acoustic pop super-villain's" writing has graduated into sometimes complex, sometimes simple and lush arrangements, with a fiercely, percussive guitar style that has proved to appeal to neo-folk and harder rocking audiences alike.
Look for the new EP, PIECES in the next few months. PIECES is a limited release that features 2 full-band tracks and 3 kick-ass, stripped down solo acoustic tracks; 2 of which will appear on the upcoming full-length CD with full instrumentation. Shawn is currently working with producer, Paul Speer (Vicci Martinez, Roger Fisher, Queensryche), at Rainstorm Studios on the new 11 song disc.
