Shawn Trotter

Shawn is a multi-talented musician and composer. His command of the guitar, mandolin and looper pedal make him a versatile and exciting performer. His music is a fusion of traditional and modern styles best described as “Acousticana.” He has performed across Canada as a featured performer in concert halls and folk festivals. His extensive performance and recording experience also makes Shawn a sought after music teacher and clinician. At a performance one will hear inspiring classical transcriptions, clever pop covers and beautiful original compositions. Shawn’s catchy melodies, thoughtful arrangements and knockout improvisations take his audience on a memorable and emotionally engaging voyage. Shawn has had a very busy year performing with classical string ensembles, mandolin orchestra, musicals as well as sharing the stage with roots, country and folk performers. He is currently recording his exciting new compositions for the mandolin, giving solo concerts and performing with his acoustic ensemble.
