Shay Watson has written songs for bands and solo artists in various genres. Artists include: Grammy Winning DC Talk's (and Newsboys)'s Michael Tait, Word Recording Artists and Dove Award winners-The Sidewalk Prophets, Fox Sports, Grammy Nominees-Sonicflood, Watson & Nash, Latin Rock group Malaywa Soul, and James Clay amongst others.

Shay has shared the playbill and worked with a number of artists in various capacities. Artists include: DC Talk's Michael Tait, Switchfoot's Jon Foreman, Sonicflood, Curb recording artists-Selah, Sony recording artist- Gretchen Wilson, Charlie Daniels, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Sparrow recording artists-The Elms, Platinum selling artist Tammy Cochran, Lyric Street Recording Artists-Callico Trail, Curb recording artist-Deborah Allen, T. Graham Brown, Tanya Tucker, Derek Webb, Sandra McCracken, Ronnie McDowell, Billy Joe Royal, The Jordanaires, Holly Dunn, The Ladds, Anti-Records recording artist-Jolie Holland and many others.

Shay has had a number of songs cut and singled to radio by various artists in the United States and overseas, carving out a place for himself in the global music community as a songwriter, artist and producer.

In addition to his musical activities Shay is working on a historical fiction novel and is actively involved in child advocacy. He is an artist/spokesman for Mission of Mercy, a Christian relief organization that helps find sponsors for poverty stricken children in underprivileged areas of the world. Shay is also involved with the Lust Free Living organization.
