Bio
The three members of Shbti met as neighbours within minutes of moving to Toronto. In 2009, after a few years and various other music projects, Adrienne, Boris and Jasmine started playing together, finding common ground in a muscular sound influenced by 70's punk, droning blues and psych rock.
Originating from eastern Europe, suburban USA and northern Ontario, the band writes songs that are sieved through the modern psychoses of life in a big city. Focused on the healing powers of playing live, the music is left open to evolve and fit the mood of a performance.
Shbti are releasing their first EP, Hemodynamic, on 12" vinyl and digitally in March of 2013.
