"ShelbyBrown In The Spotlight"

Shelby first hit the airwaves in 2003 with Miracle, since then Shelby has been polished and his new CD No Boundaries is definitely worthy of an audience.

Shelby’s saxophone complements his newest collection of Smooth Jazz instrumentals and vocals. Shelby who plays Alto & Soprano saxophones shares a passion for music and a history of listening and playing since childhood. When asked about his new venture and how he put it all together, Shelby speaks of his friends and how they help and respect what underlies and supports his music. Shelby says of his friends Marion Meadows, Tim & Brian Bowman, Damon Warmack, Alex Goss, Demetrius Nabors, Ron Otis, Shinda Ewell, Chanda Long, Lin Rountree, & Randy Scott, these are good genuine people, they helped me to collaborate, and most importantly they show me how to be open minded when exploring new territories in music.

No Boundaries, written by Shelby and Damon Warmack, covers the spectrum of contemporary Jazz. Some stand out tracks are Kendhal which is completed with vocals by Chanda Long, a local recording Artist and Hey Slim a song written for Shelby’s late Grandmother, yet it contains the expressive, emotional, inspirational and self described “Spirit Lead Soul” that Shelby puts into each and every note, playing each song as if it was his last.
