"Shelly Fraley"

"But far from bubble-gum pop, it carries the sophisticated musical structure and tonal qualities befitting a montage of inner emotions and struggles so deep that to hear it once is to hear the inner strengths of others, and to hear it twice is to hear your own salvation." - Dr. Bob

"BabySue.com"

"It's no wonder people seem to be lining up to use her songs in their shows. Fraley writes and records the kind of smooth smart accessible modern pop that urban twenty and thirty somethings just love. Her songs are smooth and very melodic...and she's got a fantastic voice that really pushes the music to another level." - BabySue.com - BabySue.com

“Shelly Fraley is one of the many great singer-songwriters I've discovered through One Tree Hill and you should all give this girl's music a try, especially if you're into catchy indie pop songs to sing along with...” Let Me Like It.com - Let Me Like It.com

"... This is the kind of voice that strikes you right in the heart and says listen up buddy cause you're about to hear something important. And the talent doesn't start or end there either. It (the music) is written by a talented song-smith, it is recorded with patience and it is delivered with passion."

I love pop music but not just any pop music. I love pop music that puts wind in your sails or under your wings, that makes you soar whether it's into the depths or over the clouds, that makes melody king and harmony queen, that reaches into you and brings you out of yourself if only for the length and breadth of one song. So many do it but so few do it right that when I find it I hang onto it as if it might disappear. Right now, I'm hanging on to Hush.

After hearing and loving Shelly Fraley’s record, I thought there was no way she could live up to it lve. I decided to find out and asked her to open for me. Imagine my surprise as she blew away my audience with spot-on musical chops (the kind that make pro-tools irrelevant) songwriting brilliance and easy charm. She has the charisma and work ethic I think the next generation of career songwrtiers will need in order to thrive.

Bio

With her heartfelt, sometimes quirky, and ultimately catchy piano/acoustic guitar based pop music, Shelly Fraley is well on her way toward a successful career as a modern-day singer/songwriter. Fraley’s music first gained exposure through spots in TV/Film including Private Practice, Pretty Little Liars, One Tree Hill, Good Deeds and more. Surrounded by a musical family, Fraley spent her formative years writing and recording music in rural Kansas. She continued into her college career studying liberal arts, graphic design and music at Southwestern College before moving to Nashville where she recorded her debut album in 2010.

Following the success of her first full-length release, “Into the Sun” (2010), Shelly Fraley’s new album “Hush” (2012) is a collection of ten magical songs inspired by anonymous secrets from fans submitted to Shelly through her website. Tune after tune resonates with listeners, capturing and reflecting the essence of significant personal moments, confidences and mysteries, with their private sweetness, joys and optimism, or sadness and regrets. “Hush” was created in two parts: Part 1 with producer/songwriter Allen Salmon (Mutemath, This Beautiful Republic, Gileah); and second part with Ryan Williamson (Hanson, Weird “Al” Yankovic, Graham Colton), and Seth Goodman.
Throughout 2012 Fraley will be sharing the secrets through song with several U.S. tour dates already lined up, and many to come.
